Even more pics!!!!!!

I know, we took so many pictures that evening!!! It was all good!! And I'm more than happy to share them. So, here I sit this Friday night. I grilled some seasoned up pork chops, diced up fresh veggies - green beans, mushrooms, cauliflower, and onion - with garlic sea salt - it was all very delish!

Really fun pics!!!!!

I hope whoever is checking out these pics really appreciates them as I do. This totally demonstrates and truly shows how much fun we all had that night! It was a good time.

I've come to the conclusion that everyone is currently experiencing some level of stress in their lives......due to the f'n economy and all that...AND, we can all blame our asshole prez for that!!! ha.

But, when families and friends can still keep it together and truly enjoy themselves....keeping it simple....with a little grill out, good bev's, good company, especially good food, etc. that's what it's all about!!!

Cinco De Mayo - 2007 and 2008

The top picture was taken at Emma's birthday celebration in 2007 - same theme Cinco De Mayo. The second picture was taken last Saturday for Emma's 22nd birthday, same theme, same characters!!
Jamie's still holding her Corona.

Good food, wine, margs, & company....

Nona, Emma and Stephanie enjoying their wine, margs and chips with delicious guacamole and black bean and corn salsa! Second picture is Vince and Stephanie lounging while I grill the kabobs . . they tried to keep up with me going in and out of the house ....I'd come in....they'd follow....I'd go out...they'd follow ... they finally gave up!! Not quite sure, but looks like Vince is doing the ole shinaab lip point. Don't know what he's pointing at though.

3rd pic is Mr. Smiley...Mr. Copenace...Jamie's hubby...Billy.....B.J.!

And then there's Gary and Seeb watching tv in Gary's room.

Cuzzins & Friends...

Vince doesn't know he's about to get pounced on (or scratched) in that first pic. The little girls are striking their cute little poses, not Sadie though, she's eating and doing her own thing - that pic kind of cut her off a little, sorry Sadie. Oh, that's Teochen in the background, I was going to say lurking, but he's more 'kicked back'.

I like the bottom picture of Jamie, Emma, and Andrea - all very beautiful.

Emma and....

These are a few of Emma's guests Saturday. Top Picture is her friend Lexi, second little Aazh, and the third is Stephanie as Emma said "my lover, my friend, my boss" or something to that effect.

More Saturday night pics...

Finally..... sneaked in a few nice pictures of my boy, that handsome little man. The first one is usually the only kind of shot I can get of him, just like when I want to hug him, he fights me off. But as he was concentrating on what Jamie was doing, I snapped these pictures of him from the living room with the zoom when he least expected it.

Not sure what Jamie's doing in that bottom picture!!!! She's concentrating pretty hard on something though - - Must be reading some kind of complex literature. Ha ha.

I think she's doing the crazy pics or whatever feature she has on her laptop.

Birthday Glir!!

Had a little get together for Emma's 22th birthday on Saturday. Grilled chicken kabobs and her and Teochen made this awesome mexican rice!!
http://www.bemidjipioneer.com/articles/index.cfm?id=15481&section=collections . We took a short cut with the chicken, instead of doing the long version in the recipe, we marinated it overnight in Lawry's Mexican Chile & Lime marinade. They followed the recipe for the rice. It was a lot of food, there was a little left over rice but the kabobs went - not even a mushroom left over.

Had some coronas, strawberry and plain margaritas and wine with the dinner. It was all very delicious. Good food and good company, everyone had an enjoyable time!!

We took a lot of nice pictures.

Maple Syrup....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This little beauty here.....I got from Vince today. This is fresh maple syrup he harvested and prepared and put in this pretty little container. He said he only gives these to the "special people". (You can see my ugly jackpine tree in the background, but I love that tree).
He called me at work this afternoon and wanted to meet at the local, popular Thursday night wing spot so he could give this to me. We enjoyed the delicious wings with Emma-neez, Teochen and their friend joined us (the one in the video-earlier post), along with a few other people. Vince treated us to wings and beverages, we called it an early evening because we both have a very busy day tomorrow.
Vince told me and Emma we need to make 'panny cakes' soon, using this deliciousness. For sure I will indulge!!
The Pendleton Blanket
Without a doubt, these pictures don't do it justice (or whatever that means - ha). Anaway, the top pic I attempted to take a picture of me wrapped in my new blanket - looking in my bedroom mirror at my own reflection. Ha ha - you can see the results of that! The second one depicts more of the brilliance and color. The third one gives a better idea of the overall design, front and back reversible feature, overall beauty and size.
I got this beautiful blanket from Vince, he brought it back from his mc'ing gig at http://www.gatheringofnations.com/powwow/powwow_2008/staff_drums.htm this past weekend. He had to pack it in his one little suitcase.
He also gave me a very cool long sleeved GON t-shirt. Yeah......very cool!!
