Gary and Petra.....

Two more pictures from last weekend of Gary and his little woman Petra. These two have been together constantly, steadily for the last few months. But they're very cute together. Gary found himself a little sweetheart here, she's the quiet, strong, stable type.

Emma and Jessa...

She asked me this evening.."Mom, did you put a new post on your blog yet???" So here's another one. Last weekend when Jessa's mom and Scott were here, Scott took a picture of a picture with their new, very nice digital camera of Emma and Jessa when they were cute little girls! This picture was taken when they were about 8-9 years old - they're only 4 months apart - and Jessa was living in Bemidji.

The other picture is Emma and Jessa taken last summer, as you can see both have blossomed into very beautiful young women.

It's really hard to believe they're already 22 years old!!! Jessa's getting married in February 2009 in Oahu, HI. Time and life speed by way too fast!!

We had a fun weekend...sisters

August 15-17 was a fun weekend, I was so happy when she called me and said she was on her way to Bemidji, just to see me. That was friday night... my sister and I sat around outside until the mosquitos swarmed us, then came in and watched a few episodes of Sex In The City since she's never seen one episode! Needless to say, she enjoyed them. We had a lot of laughs that night just her and I!

Got up early on Saturday and made breakfast for the kids (Gary and Petra), pancakes, bacon (cooked on the grill), eggs and spuds also cooked on the grill.

Her hubby joined us later that afternoon and we proceeded to have a great weekend.

Happy Birthday My Little Niece (In grandma's glasses) !!

J@Me...Sorry, we missed the Green Mill dinner. In my old age, I seem to be becoming more of a recluse. No, not really. I got the message a little late, sorry. When we heard from Nona, I already had an ole chicken on the grill! It turned out awesome.

I do want to repeat the recipe and beverages for Nona, Jamie and Angie!! And anyone else that feels they're up to it.

Happy birthday dad....

"You've given so much to your family...

You've inspired us with your strength of character,

taught the meaning of love with your caring ways,

and created so many fun and memorable times with

your humor and warmth,

Today and always, hope you know how much

you're loved for everything you do - - and everything

you are.

Have a very happy birthday dad !!

A couple more pontoon pics..

I really like this pic of Emma, her little smile reminds me of when I'd take pictures of her when she was a little girl. She was listening to her tunes on her ipod on the ride back.

Looks like me and Vince are really clinging to each other...guess that's what happens when you only see each other once a week or less. He'll take off again on Tuesday for Fort Hall, Idaho for about a week and a half. We do enjoy the time we spend together, hopefully we can fit in another pontoon excursion before the weekend is over.

The next cruise will be down the Mississippi river into the chain of lakes.

Pontooning.......

This is how we spent the evening yesterday. Me, Emma and Vince out on the pontoon on Lake Bemidji. It was beautiful and refreshing.

We cruised from Ruttgers to the state park beach where Vince went swimming by himself. He splashed around for a little while, then we cruised across to the Green Mill and had appetizers - coconut chicken - on the patio.

The pictures were taken on our cruise back to Ruttgers from the Green Mill. It really was a beautiful evening.
